Carl Bégin
Candidate City Councillor
District Maisonneuve–Longue-Pointe

Biography
A graduate of the École Polytechnique de Montréal since 1993, specializing in the environment and hydraulics, Carl Bégin works as an airport planning advisor.
The proud father of two children, Mr. Bégin settled in Montréal more than 20 years ago, and is a strong proponent of the borough he chose to live in, Hochelaga-Maisonneuve. Carl has a keen interest in urban development, active and public transportation, and the use and preservation of renewable energy sources.
Since residing in the city’s east end, Carl Bégin has been active in diverse groups, such as Les Amis du parc Morgan, the Regroupement de citoyens pour la promotion des samedis bio and the Coalition pour humaniser la rue-Notre-Dame.
In addition to being a member of several professional and sociocultural associations – the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, Culture Montréal, the Canadian Power Squadron, Carl Bégin sits on the boards of the organization Ma Chambre, the eco-design firm Perennia and the Centre de la petite enfance which his children Zoé and Daran attend. Mr. Bégin also donates his time as a volunteer patroller at Mont-Tremblant.
